As I am sure you have read...I am one of the pickiest eaters on the planet so it is important that I share my honest experience with the 3 Day Refresh.
The nutrition plans that accompany the Beachbody fitness programs work well for me because I can still eat the foods I enjoy. With the containers...portion control is no longer an issue.
With that said...the eating part of the 3 Day Refresh I did well with. The shake was great too! You get to choose from 6 flavors (3 packets). What was difficult for me was the fiber drink by itself. I have such a texture issue with foods...that I found the grittiness hard to swallow. I wish I was the kind of person that could just chug it down but I couldn't. It was a good effort on my part though! I was proud I gave it a go! I would eventually like to give it another try and mix the fiber into something to see if that would work. I would not let my experience sway you from trying it for yourself. It has worked for so many, many people that I feel confident in recommending it to you.

Clean Eating German Oatmeal Cookies
These cookies are so yummy! My whole family loved them!
Ingredients:
If you would like other flavors you can divide the dough into 4 equal parts and mix in the following additions.
Data: for 1 cookie
Ingredients:
- 250 grams organic butter (1 cup +2 Tablespoons)
- 250 grams honey (scant 1/2 cup)
- 2 whole eggs
- 225 grams whole wheat pastry flour (2/3 cup + 1 tablespoons)
- 250 grams quick cook oats (2 1/3 cups)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
If you would like other flavors you can divide the dough into 4 equal parts and mix in the following additions.
- 1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup chopped almonds or hazelnuts
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1/4 cup cranberries, raisons or chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat butter, honey and eggs together until creamy.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and oat meal together.
- Slowly, combine the two mixtures together.
- Bake for 10 - 15 minutes or until light golden brown.

- Cholesterol: 18 gm

Clean Eating Coconut Raspberry Thumbprint Cookies
Ingredients:
Instructions:

- 100 grams (1/2 cup) Ground Almonds
- 50 grams (2/3 cup) Dried Coconut
- 75 ml (2.5 ounces) Milk of choice
- 1 Tablespoon Pure Maple Syrup
- 2 Tablespoons Clean Raspberry Jam
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 180 C (350 F) and line a baking tray with grease proof paper.
- Place the ground almonds and coconut into a mixing bowl and stir to combine.
- Add the milk and maple syrup and stir together thoroughly.
- Take 1 -2 Tablespoons of the mixture and roll into a ball (1 Tablespoon makes mini cookies, 2 Tablespoons makes larger ones. Both are yummy!)
- Place the ball of the mixture onto the baking tray and gently push your thumb into the center to create a well - If the cookie cracks a little just neaten up the edges with your fingers.
- Repeat until all the mixture is used up.
- Once all the cookies are on the baking tray, fill each of the thumbprints with jam.
- Place the cookies into the oven for 15 minutes, until golden brown - Your kitchen will smell AMAZING!
- IMPORTANT: Allow the cookies to cool COMPLETELY before removing from the baking tray. They firm up as they cool down.
- Serve and enjoy.

Overnight, Slow Cooker, Apple Cinnamon Steel-Cut Oatmeal
There is nothing like a nice warm bowl of Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal first thing in the morning on these cold winter days! Enjoy!
Ingredients:

- Apples
- Skim milk (or almond milk)
- Steel-cut oats ( or gluten free steel cut oats)
- Brown Sugar (or another preferred sweetener)
- Cinnamon
While cooking... - Salt
- Ground Flaxseed (or chia seeds)
- Butter
- Nuts (optional)
- Peel and core the apples; cut them into 1/2 inch pieces (you can leave the peel on for added fiber and nutrition)
- Coat the slow cooker with cooking spray. Don't skip this step, or you will really regret it!
- Throw everything in the slow cooker. I have a 6-1/2 slow cooker, but 3-1/2 quarts is big enough for this recipe. Double this recipe when cooking for 4 to 5 people.
- Stir it. Put on the lid. Set it to cook on low for 7 hours. That's how long it takes in my slow cooker. Time can vary from one slow cooker to another.
- Go to bed. Wake up to the sweet aroma of cinnamon and apples.
- You can top it with maple syrup, raisins, nuts, more milk, butter, if you like.
Ready to enjoy!
- If this is your first time making this recipe, make it during the day when you are at home and can keep an eye on it and determine when it is done. You will want the edges slightly browned, but not burnt. Start checking after 5 hours of cook time. Assuming the lid is clear, eyeball the oats through the lid without lifting it. Every time you lift it, it adds 30 more minutes to the cooking time.
Coconut Almond Granola
Cook Time: 40 Minutes
Total Time: 55 Minutes
Ingredients:
- 3 cups rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup shredded unsweetened coconut
- 1 cup blanched sliced almonds
- 3/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
- 1-2 teaspoons pure almond extract
| Before going into the oven! I made a double batch! |
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees
- In a large bowl, mix together rolled oats, cinnamon, salt, coconut, and almonds. Make sure it is well mixed before adding the liquids - this will prevent the cinnamon and salt fro forming into globs on the oats.
- Add in the maple syrup, coconut oil, and 1 teaspoon almond extract. Give it a quick taste. If you want to add more then add 1/2 teaspoon at a time, tasting in-between, until you achieve your desired taste.
- Spread out granola mixture on baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray.
- Bake for 35 minutes. Stir at 20 minutes then stir every 5 -7 minutes. This batch can cook faster than others so keep an eye on it so the granola does not burn.
- Let cool and place in large mason jar or air tight container.
- Serving Size: 1/4 cup Calories
- 159 Fat
- 10 Carbohydrates
- 5 Fiber
- 2.5 Protein

Beachbody Coaches
Do you have a vision for your career but somehow feel like you are not as fulfilled as you would like to be. Maybe you would like to be home with your family more while still working and earning an income. Maybe having a second income...or extra fun money would help you and your family do those extra things in life, like take a vacation, cover an extra bill and pay down debt, freeing yourself from the financial burdens that often arise in life.
There is an opportunity through part-time work, owning your own coaching schedule, creating a passive income and having a stream of extra money. A couple hundred dollars, or more, can be significant.
I remember always being concerned if the kids got sick or if they had a school function and half days. Our daughter now has late starts!!! What!!! Still wondering what parents do who are working! Anyway...because of the nature of my husband's career, it was typically me who had to adjust my schedule or just not go into the office. I also hated the feeling of living more or less paycheck to paycheck. I am not complaining...family comes first, but it was still stressful for me. My desire to be a mom first far outweighed my to desire to work out of the home. Now I have the benefit of doing both.
When I learned about the coaching opportunity it fit perfectly
for our family. An interest was sparked! Being able to be home, work and still contribute to my family and doing something I loved...was exactly what I needed. It preserved my sanity!!!! I knew that I would still put in many hours...but being able to work when and how I wanted was impossible to pass up. I can take time whenever I want. Something as simple as meeting a friend for coffee is something that was hard to fit in before.
There are 4 Vital Behaviors of a Beachbody Coach. All 4 of these Vital Behaviors can be accomplished in something we call A Power Hour. These behaviors are:
- "Be Proof the Product Work".
Drink Shakeology, complete Beachbody programs, and be a walking Success Story in progress.
- "Invite. Invite. Invite".
Invite daily. Invite everyone to a join a Beachbody Challenge Group. Focus on their goals, not yours. follow up and helping them get results is our objective.
- "Recognize. Recognize. Recognize".
Celebrate and reinforce every meaningful achievement and activity that leads to results.
- "Do Personal Development".
Strengthen and better yourself every day by learning from the success of others. Become the best version of you. What you put into it you get out of it. If you strengthen your inside you become stronger on the outside.
The core mission of Beachbody is: "to help people achieve their goals and enjoy a healthy, fulfilling life". And success will be: "determined by how well you align your GOALS and ACTIVITIES".
A Power Hour can be accomplished easily by anyone. You may work full-time and have a family too...but it is possible. Watch one less hour of T.V., stay up one hour later at night or get up on hour earlier. Work while the kids take a nap or are at school. When there is a will, there is a way, right!! It depends on you! For the longest time I juggled my time and was able to accomplish what I needed. Because I've achieved success, I have left my office job and now have more hours to spend on my own business. Remember this is YOUR business to run as you see fit.
It is very important to be on your own journey, believe in the products, and yourself, have passion for helping others. And feel free to seek help from your Beachbody mentors. Opportunities for development are everywhere!
Reading personal development books or listening to podcasts (while driving...as I often do) are great ways to motivate yourself and gain a positive mindset. My perspectives on many things have changed. I'm a happier and more positive person, a better wife and mom because of it. I feel more confident and optimistic and am able to give that much more support and encouragement to others.

Coaching Misconceptions
Every day I am grateful that I decided to became a Beachbody Coach! I have a feeling you will too!
Being able to be the leader of my own business brings me so much joy and fulfillment. I am able to put in as little or as much time as I want into my business and I am able to work around my family's busy, and forever changing schedule. It's makes all the difference in the world to me to have this freedom. You can have this too!
Being able to positively impact the lives of others is my passion and I feel so fortunate and blessed to be able to do this job (if I can even call it a job!) every day. Before becoming a coach, I had many questions as I am sure you do too! Misconceptions are everywhere!
Having a family, I wanted to make sure I was making the most responsible decision. I realize the importance of being well informed and gathering all the information you can in order to decide if this is a fit for you. It may not be...but it just might be what you have been looking for all along! Remember...I did not even know this was an option for me until I kind of stumbled upon it. I can't imagine what it would be like if I hadn't taken that leap of faith once it presented itself to me.This post will give you some insight into what coaching is and what it is not.
As a coach I personally have been asked many questions and often listened to the concerns of others. I'd like to address some of the things you may be thinking and offer you answers to these concerns.
1. Beachbody is one of those pyamid schemes.
This misconception is so common and the one I get asked about most often. Most people do not know what a pyramid scheme actually is, so when they hear about Beachbody they automatically jump to the conclusion that this opportunity is one of them. It is simply NOT true. A pyramid scheme is an illegal business model that requires people to pay money to join and there is no actual product.
Beachbody is a network marketing company, which is a business model that has been in existence for many decades. The success of a coach in this business has nothing to do with the timing of which you got into it or of your specific position. It does however, depend on your effort, consistency, skills, commitment as well as aligning yourself with a mentor who will be willing to work with you on your training and development...a person who will stand by you like I will. 2. What will people think?
I can relate to this question because I think my family, including my husband thought I was crazy at the beginning. What it came down to was that they really didn't fully understand what the company stood for or what I would actually be doing on a daily basis. I think they to thought it was just another one of "those" business models that could never work.
How wrong they were! My intention was not to prove them why, but help them understand that I didn't willy-nilly jump before I said yes to this opportunity. Yes... they all have come around to see the light since then!! Believe in yourself and be confident in your own decisions.
3. I am not a health, fitness or business expert.
You don't need to be! There is no certification required. All you need is the desire to help others while you are on your own health and fitness journey. The fitness programs that Beachbody have developed already have professional trainers and nutrition plans set up in order for you to get outstanding results. Coaches provide the accountability, motivation and support to guide you successfully through your program and journey. With Beachbody you do not need to carry an inventory, process orders, do returns or exchanges, or advertise. Your role is to share. Beachbody handles the rest. As coaches, we have an abundance of tools and training, for our own business. How perfect is that! It truly allows us to focus on helping others.
4. I don't have the time to be a coach.
The truth is you don't need to put in excessive amounts of time to be successful in this business. Just one to two hours a day is enough to devote to your business.When I began coaching I was working a part time and as well as being a full time mom! Coaches have many different backgrounds. Some are doctors, lawyers, teachers, nurses...working demanding jobs on top of coaching. Many are stay at home moms, and dads, too!
Beachbody is structured in a way in which there is no limit on your earning potential. For example, someone that started before you may not earn as much as you do because maybe they are putting in less time than you or not working as hard as you. In order to be successful you need to put in the work and effort...and when you do the sky is the limit.
5. I don't like sales.
Perfect. Neither do I!!! It is the furthest thing from what I would want to do. This business is not about convincing people to try the products or become coaches. The more you act like a sales person the more unsuccessful you will be.
We share our experiences and the opportunity. That's it! If it is for you great...if not that is fine too. I never want anyone that I work with to feel pressured in ANY way. I am in a proud partnership with Beachbody and as coaches we offer solutions and help people achieve their own personal health, fitness and financial goals.
6. I don't have the money to be a coach.
WHAT!! This is an opportunity to make money, not an effort to make you spend it. As a new coach the most important initial goal is to cover the cost of your monthly Shakeology along with your initial challenge pack purchase. After having reached that first goal it is then time to build from there. I have exceeded what I was earning at my previous job and I am working on becoming debt free and living a life of financial freedom. If money is a concern, then you cannot afford NOT to do this.

7. I don't know enough people.
This is a common fear for many potential coaches. I completely understand, because it was actually one of my greatest fears. I had friends on Facebook, however I jumped into Facebook much later in the game than most people. In sharing, I have made new friends, contacts and have connected with people who I did not even know before I became a coach.
When I began, there where friends I had in mind... some people that would have an interest in joining a challenge group...but then I thought...what would I do after that? You just need to be yourself...and make it YOU!
8. I fear failure and have had friends whontried network marketing and did not succeed.
I made the decision early on that failure was not an option for me. You must do the same. I am determined to be the best coach and mentor that I can be while I support and motivate others to live their lives to their fullest potential. Move beyond your initial fears, hesitations & nervousness. On the other side of fear is success.
Not being patient enough and quitting too soon is part of the reason why others fail in this business. Will it always be easy all the time...no! Does it require work...yes!
I suggest giving yourself one year of consistent effort...because during that year you will grow and succeed both personally and professionally! Don't sell yourself short...there are many people who have felt the same way, have had very difficult obstacles to overcome and have made it to the top! You have that ability, too. With the right focus and mindset you have the ability too. It takes a commitment, but not an overpowering one.
9. I should wait until I have a transformation...maybe I am not fit enough.
This is another common and understanding concern for many. Being a Beachbody coach means that we are all on our own individual journeys. Beachbody coaches come in all different shapes and sizes. The important thing is that YOU are working towards your personal goals. In doing so you will be able to inspire others to work towards theirs. It makes you relatable.
There is no such thing as being "perfect". We all have things we want to work on, and we all are at different stages in our journeys. That is what makes each coach unique. Wouldn't it be boring if all coaches (or all people) were the same?!
People will want to follow YOU, they will identify with YOU and your experiences. You will be surprised how many people will relate to you, and their stories.
10. You don't think network marketing could be for you.
Maybe you have heard other people stories and it has scared you away. This business is unlike any other. The first step in succeeding is to trust the process. Beachbody is a reputable, lucrative company and has been successful for may years. Once you make the leap...you will be happy you said yes!
